Without libraries what have we? We have no past and no future.

About PGS Library
Library Mission
It is my belief that the library should be the heart of the school. By combining both traditional and cutting-edge technology, our students can discover all sorts of wonderful ways to find answers to all their questions. Then they can present their answers in research projects such as webpages, slideshows, and multimedia publications.
Love of literature is not left out...using all sorts of literacy strategies, I can assist our students in strengthening their reading skills as they enjoy themselves at the same time. The library serves the school, our students, teachers, administrators, and families, and I am here to help readers and researchers of all levels become confident and capable 21st century learners.

Library Policies
K-2 students may check out one book at a time.
3-6 graders may check out two books at a time, or more if needed for class.
Books are due by the next library class. You must return your book(s) in order to get new ones!
I encourage students to select books using their personal choices. I provide guidance for choosing according to reading level, but unless a parent or teacher requests otherwise, the final decision is left up to the child. I like to encourage family literacy, so if a student assures me a parent will be reading with or to him, a "too difficult" book may be checked out. Of course, please contact me at [email protected] if you have questions or concerns.

Library Rules
The better we follow library rules, the more we can accomplish in library class, and the more fun we'll have!
1. Wait your turn to talk.
2. Walk
3. Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
4. Follow directions the first time.
5. Respect the library, other people, and yourself!
